A video went viral after police dash cam footage captured an unexpected and shocking situation for a deputy.
The footage captured Deputy Andrew Ries investigating a crash scene in Houston, Texas.
Filmed at night, the road can be seen lined with three to four cars with the lights of one of the cars flashing.
According to the ABC13, Harris County Precinct 3 Constable’s office said deputy Andrew Ries had pulled over to investigate an incident.
The Constable’s office posted the video.
Parked on the FM-2100 in the Huffman area, Ries was responding to reports if a car crash.
Upon questioning those involved, the police officer was informed a car hat hit a cow which wasn’t injured.
However, Ries was not only greeted by the people involved in the crash.
The video shows two people, who were standing in front of the parked car, start to run in what appears to be an attempt to get back in their vehicle.
Suddenly Officer Reis can be spotted standing in front of the dash cam car.

During the regular 8 hour shift we encounter the good, the bad, and the big
Out of nowhere the cow in question appears and begins to charge at Ries.
In an attempt to move out of harms way Reis is spotted desperately running across the bonnet of the car with the cow in tow.
At first Reis and the cow run from the right-hand side of the car, but the pair appear once more with Reis using the car and a shield from the cow.
After chasing Reis around the car a few times, the cow can be seen walking off and disappears into the dark woods.
According to The Daily Mail, the Constable’s office wrote: “During the regular 8 hour shift we encounter the good, the bad, and the big.
“We can handle criminals with no problem, but when it comes to livestock….it’s no bull!
“Please be advised there were no humans, animals, or patrol cars damaged in the making of this dashcam.”

Another viral video has captured the interest after footage was released of a surfer coming face to face with an array of sea creatures.
The video shows an unfortunate surfer standing on their board heading for a wave.
But the surfer is not the only one attempting to ride the wave.
An army of dolphins can be seen hidden under the water, making their way inwards towards the shore.
As the surfer approaches the wave, one of the dolphins jumps up out of the water and send the surfer tumbling into the water.
